Kundri Top Trek

Description: Kundri Top trek begins from a small village in the Ecozone of the Great Himalayan National Park called Pekhri connected by a narrow road from Gushaini. From Pekhri you stroll towards Lakcha (two hours), an extremely enchanting Himalayan town. Have your pressed lunch before Lakcha at a very beautiful spot. After an hour of hike from Lakcha where you will set up your first camp, Rangthar. From Rangthar you have a perfect perspective on the Himalayas and the Tirthan valley. A dynamite spot for outdoors ! It is extremely incredible to make the most of your supper at the blaze during nightfall.

Day 2 starts with an extensive breakfast, the initial step is Kauni (or Dushmani), an exceptionally pleasant little highest point 350 m above Rangthar. The best approach to Kauni is the more extreme path of the whole trek. Try not to feel disheartened, it is steep however you will reach Kauni exceptionally quick and you will be compensated by the view and the magnificence of the woods around. After Kauni it is a very pleasant hike up to Kundri. You go through a golden oak forest that sporadically let you observe the giant Himalayan mountains that appear closer and closer.
